Police are investigating three robberies and two burglaries that were reported over the past week.
At about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, approximately five individuals approached a man in the 400 block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex (21221), assaulted him, and stole his cell phone. The suspects then fled the scene.
At 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, in the Country Ridge Shopping Center parking lot in Essex (21221), a man physically assaulted the victims then stole one of their wallets from their vehicle. The suspect was later arrested.
At just after 1:30 a.m. on Monday, May 7, a riding lawn mower was stolen from a shed behind a residence in the 6200 block of Commons Road in Rosedale (21237).
At just before 10 a.m. on Monday, a resident heard a strange sound coming from the sliding door handle to a residence on Glenwest Court in Rosedale (21237). The victim opened the blinds and observed an individual at the door attempting to turn the door handle. Startled, the suspect then fled and was later apprehended.
At just after 9:45 p.m. on Monday, two individuals took a man’s wallet and assaulted him with a knife in the 4900 block of Hazelwood Avenue (21206). One suspect was arrested.
