Police are investigating a handful of crimes that were reported this week.
At 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, a contractor arrived at a residence in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue in Essex (21221) to complete construction work. He encountered an individual who had broken into the residence. The armed suspect robbed the contractor of his wallet containing cash, and then fled with another suspect who was there as a lookout. The wallet was recovered without the cash.
Sometime between 11 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, and 4 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, an individual shattered the front door of Tandori Kabab and Grill, located in the 8700 block of Philadelphia Road in Rosedale (21237). The suspect stole the cash register containing cash.
Sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, an individual broke into an on Swampscott Court in Parkville (21234). Once inside, the suspect stole two TVs, jewelry, and a keyboard.
At 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, a food delivery driver was making a delivery in the 9200 block of Oswald Way in Rosedale (21237) when four individuals approached and assaulted him. The suspects then took the food and his vehicle keys, then fled the scene in the delivery driver’s vehicle.
At just after 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, a man was jogging past a group of teenagers in the area of Kintore Drive at Walther Boulevard (21236) when one of the teens ran behind him, threatened him, and pointed a gun at him. The victim ran away and called 911 when he returned home.
