Police are investigating an assault, two burglaries, and two robberies that were reported this week.
At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, three individuals broke into an apartment on Aspinwood Way (21236) by forcing open the rear window. Various items were stolen before the suspects fled the scene.
At 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, a man was in the area of Putty Hill Avenue at School Road in Parkville (21234) when he was approached by an armed man who demanded his money. The suspect fled the area when the victim began to call 911 on his cell phone.
At 9 p.m. on Wednesday, in an attempt to get two people out of his home in the 100 block of Margaret Avenue in Essex (21221), the occupant kicked in the bedroom door while brandishing a weapon. An altercation ensued, the victims were injured and the occupant was arrested at the scene.
At 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, an individual entered the Family Wash Day laundromat located in the 1400 block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex (21221), produced a knife, and then demanded the money from the office before fleeing the scene.
Sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, an individual broke the rear sliding glass door to break into a home in the 4700 block of Ballygar Road (21236). The suspect stole various household items from inside before fleeing.
