Pedestrian killed in overnight crash in Middle River

fatal-crashPolice say a man was killed overnight when he was struck by a vehicle while walking on Martin Boulevard near Compass Road in Middle River.

Paramedic responded to the scene at just before 1 a.m. on Saturday.



Police have determined that the man, identified as Jeremy Warfield McCoy, 51, with no fixed address, wasstanding on the shoulder of Martin Boulevard just north of Compass Road when he was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu that crossed the white line.

McCoy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 32-year-old Dundalk woman, remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police continue to investigate this crash at this hour.
