Middle River gas station sells winning $100K Md. Lottery scratch-off

A Baltimore-area resident who routinely plays Maryland Lottery bingo scratch-offs decided to shake things up, and it paid off.

A 50x the Cash scratch-off that caught her eye led to a $100,000 top-prize win.

“When I saw that I matched the (winning) number 40, I began to scratch the dollar amount to see my winnings,” said the woman, who selected the nickname “Miss Lucky” for Lottery publicity. “I saw $100,000 and just screamed! I took a second look and screamed even louder, so loud that it startled my co-worker.”

She reassured her colleague that her outburst was for a good and happy reason.

“I am just lucky, Miss Lucky!” the winner remembers shouting. She told Maryland Lottery officials she plans to spend her prize to pay off bills and purchase a home.

The loyal player found her lucky $10 game at Pulaski Carroll Motor Fuels in Middle River.

“I come here because of the friendly atmosphere,” she said.

The Baltimore County retailer, which is located at 9525 Pulaski Highway, also has reason to celebrate. The gas station earns a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off of $100,000.

The 50X the Cash game still has four $100,000 top prizes remaining, seven $50,000 prizes and thousands of others ranging from $10 to $10,000.
