Board of Education to hold public forum for input on next superintendent

baltimore-county-public-schools-bcpsThe Board of Education of Baltimore County will be seeking public input relating to the next permanent superintendent of Baltimore County Public Schools.

The forum will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology, located at 938 York Road in Towson.



Speaker sign up will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.Each speaker will be allotted up to 3 minutes (depending on the number of speakers) to present their comments.The public forum will end at 8:30 p.m.

Stakeholders will also have the opportunity to send comments electronically via the BCPS website beginning on Wednesday March 7, 2018.

The Board is interested in hearing from the public as to the desired traits, characteristics, and priorities of the next superintendent who will lead the 25th largest school system in the nation.  Officials say that this forum is not intended to be an opportunity to discuss the current interim superintendent, but, instead, to seek input on the desired qualities of the next permanent superintendent.

The forum will be live-streamed on the BCPS website.
