The perjury trial for former Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. S. Dallas Dance has been set for early March.
An arraignment that had been scheduled for Monday was cancelled, according to online documents.
Dr. Dance will instead go to trial for charges stemming from January’s indictment on four counts of perjury.
Dr. Dance allegedly lied on financial disclosures that were filed under oath. He had claimed no sources of outside income while owning a consulting firm and taking funds from several companies, including one that was awarded a no-bid contract with the school system.
Dr. Dance resigned from his post in April of last year.
The trial is set to begin on March 8 at the Circuit Court of Baltimore County.
Dr. Dance has hired an attorney to represent him.
