Police were searching for a suspect in the Carney/Perry Hall on Wednesday afternoon.
At about 12 p.m., a suspect who was involved in a police chase bailed from a stolen vehicle in the area of Joppa Road at Hines Road, according to the Maryland State Police.
Multiple agencies are now said to be searching for the suspect.
There are multiple state troopers on the scene and a helicopter unit is assisting. The suspect is said to be armed and dangerous.
Nearby, Seven Oaks Elementary School has been placed on “alert status.”
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6-feet-3-inches tall weighing about 190 pounds.
Motorists should avoid Joppa Road in Carney/Perry Hall at this time.
