Police are investigating a carjacking and several robberies & burglaries that were reported over the weekend.
Sometime between 6 and 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, an individual stole a safe from a residence on Bellhurst Way in the Seven Courts community (21236). No forced entry was observed.
Sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, January 19, an individual broke the front door glass and kicked in the front door to a residence in the 9800 block of Harford Road in Carney (21234) in order to gain entry. Rooms were ransacked and jewelry and collectibles were found to be missing.
At 11:30 a.m. on Friday, two individuals approached a juvenile in the 2900 block of Andorra Court (21234), assaulted him, and stole his cash and cell phone.
At 2:15 p.m. on Friday, three individuals followed a man on Dendron Court (21234) and, at gunpoint, robbed him of his cash, cell phone, wallet, and vehicle.
At 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, a man approached another man that was seated in the back seat of a car in the 100 block of Back River Neck Road in Essex (21221). The second man displayed a gun and demanded the first man’s money. The suspect took the money and then the man fled the scene in the vehicle.
At 10 p.m. on Saturday, a suspect entered Overlea Liquors, located in the 6700 block of Belair Road (21206), while a second suspect acted as a lookout. A handgun was implied and the suspect stole cigarettes and liquor.
At about 11 p.m. on Monday, January 22, while at the BP gas station located in the 9300 block of Harford Road in Carney (21234), an individual told the victim at gunpoint to get inside his vehicle. After pulling away, the suspect then told the victim to get out of the vehicle and the suspect drove off with the man’s car.
