Baltimore County Councilman David Marks announced on Monday that the Weis Market at Joppa Road and Seven Courts Drive will benefit from a $1.5 million renovation in the summer of 2018.
The renovation will include new fixtures, lighting, and other interior improvements.
The Weis Markets store, which opened in the 1980s, is located in Downtown Perry Hall. The supermarket employs more than 100 people.
“As a regular customer of this supermarket, I know how busy this grocery store can become,” said Councilman Marks. “I thank Weis Markets for investing in this location, which is now the oldest supermarket in Perry Hall.”
In addition to the other Weis Markets at Honeygo Village Center and the Carney Village Shopping Center, a fourth location is expected to open this spring at Fullerton Plaza.
