Police are investigating a robbery and an attempted robbery that took place over the weekend.
At just after 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, an individual entered the 7-Eleven located in the 200 block of Back River Neck Road in Essex (21221). The man implied a gun and demanded money from the clerk. As he approached the counter, a fight ensued and the clerk was able to gain control of the suspect until police arrived. The suspect was then arrested.
At 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, two individuals entered the Metro PCS store located in the 6700 block of Belair Road (21206), displayed handguns, and demanded money from the cash register. After obtaining the money, the two suspects fled the scene on foot.
