Baltimore County Public Schools, government offices closing early due to inclement weather

Snow on VehicleAs ice and snow approach the Nottingham area, local school systems and government workers are playing it safe.

Due to the impending inclement weather, all Baltimore County Public Schools announced that they’d close three hours early on Monday, January 8, 2018.

All after-school and evening activities have also been cancelled.

All Baltimore County Government offices will close at 1 p.m.

Emergency/essential personnel should report to or remain at work as scheduled or as otherwise specifically directed.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. as ice and light snow are expected throughout the region.

The National Weather Service would like to remind drivers that even if thermometers read above 32 degrees, the ground may still be frozen, and what looks wet may actually be icy. Motorists should take their time and drive only if absolutely necessary.
