The annual Maryland Public High School Dance Showcase on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Goucher College will bring together dance students from throughout the state for a day of dance workshops and an evening performance and awards ceremony.
Forty schools will participate including, from Baltimore County Public Schools, George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology, Hereford High School, Milford Mill Academy, Parkville High School, Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts, and Perry Hall High School.
Among the 25 All-State dancers who will be recognized during the evening’s award ceremony are BCPS students Jada Clark, Tida Crippen, Chelsea Mitchell, and Alexandra Strouse of Carver Center; and Rachel Fiorini of Hereford High. Morgan Young of Hereford High will receive an honorable mention award.
The evening concert will begin at 5 p.m. and will be held at Goucher College, 1021 Dulaney Valley Rd., 21204. It is open to the public, and admission will be charged. The following pieces performed by BCPS students are part of the evening’s program:
