Police are investigating after a teen was assaulted with a baseball bat in the Rosedale area.
At just after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, officers responded to the 4700 block of Stellabrooke Lane (21237) for a serious assault.
At the scene, authorities learned that a 14-year-old boy had been returning home from school, along with a relative. When the boy exited the vehicle, he was approached by an individual who struck him struck several times with a baseball bat.
After assaulting the child, the suspect ran from the area.
The boy was taken to a local hospital where he is currently listed in serious condition.
