Police are investigating a robbery in Essex and an attempted robbery in Parkville that were reported on Thursday.

At just before 8:30 a.m., three individuals robbed a man of his shoes, belt, and cash at gunpoint in the 400 Block of Margaret Avenue (21221).

At just after 5:30 p.m., a man assaulted a woman in the 2800 block of Upridge Court (21234) as she was retrieving her mail.

The suspect stole her purse and then fled the scene.
