Police are investigating an attempted burglary, a purse-snatching, and other crimes that were reported over the weekend.
Sometime between 2 a.m. and noon on Friday, December 1, someone attempted to enter a residence in the 4900 block of Tartan Hill Road in Perry Hall (21128) by prying the door locks on the home. Police say the suspect was unsuccessful.
At about 1:45 p.m. on Friday, an individual approached a woman in the area of Philadelphia Road and Longview Avenue in Rodedale (21237), grabbed her purse from her arm, and fled the scene in a vehicle. The suspect was dropped off, then the driver of the vehicle was stopped and arrested.
At 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, a pizza delivery driver was approached by a juvenile in the 200 block of Dargun Road in Essex (21221). The juvenile, implying a weapon, demanded money. After an unsuccessful attempt, the suspect was later apprehended by police after trying to flee on foot.
Sometime between midnight and 11 a.m. on Sunday, December 3, an individual used a large concrete parking stop to damage the doors and locks to the pavilion at Double Rock Park in Parkville (21234). One of the locks was stolen.
Sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Sunday, an individual entered a residence on Ferns Way (21236) via a rear window that was found open. Once inside, the suspect stole a computer and a TV.
