Police investigating several local robberies, burglaries

Police GraphicPolice are investigating several robberies and burglaries that have been reported so far this month.

At about 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, an individual threw a rock through a window in the 9700 block of Magledt Road (21234).  The suspect then reached in, unlocked the window and opened it, setting off the alarm. The suspect fled the scene and no entry was gained.

At just after 1 .m. on Thursday, October 5, three individuals, one of whom was armed, approached a man in the area of Middle River Road and Compass Road (21220) and demanded the man’s property. The suspects stole his cash, cell phone, credit cards, keys, wallet, and then fled on foot.



At about 9 p.m. on Thursday, an armed man entered the Shell station located in the 9000 block of Belair Road (21236), asked for cigarettes, and demanded the cashier open the cash drawer. The suspect then took money from the drawer and fled the scene.

At just before 3:30 a.m. on Friday, October 6, two individuals gained entry via the rear door of the Giant located in the 7700 block of Harford Road (21234). The suspects stole four cases of crabmeat and then fled.

At about 11:40 a.m. on Friday, an individual broke into a home in the 2800 block of Placid Avenue (21234) via the garage door. While inside, the suspect ransacked the bedrooms and stole jewelry & cash.

At about 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, an individual shoved a man in the arm in the area of Eastmet Way and Handworth Way (21236). Another suspect grabbed the man’s cell phone from his hand. The two suspects then fled.

At just before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, a man approached another man in the area of Belair Road at Putty Hill Avenue (21236).  The suspect implied a weapon and attempted to steal the victim’s cash. The suspect ran from the scene and was arrested a short time later. No property was taken.
