Woman found dead in Rosedale home, man charged

Kenneth Kyle QuickA Jarrettsville man has been charged after police found a missing woman dead inside her Rosedale home early Friday morning.

Detectives found the body of Athena Dardamanis, 63, known to friends as “Tina,” inside her home in the 8600 block of Trumps Mill Road during the execution of a search warrant after she was reported missing by friends Thursday afternoon.

Homicide detectives were called to investigate when officers determined that there were suspicious factors surrounding the Dardamanis’ disappearance. An autopsy conducted Friday determined the manner of death to be homicide by multiple traumatic injuries to the upper body.
