Motorists robbed while stopped at Overlea, Essex intersections

robberyPolice are investigating a pair of robberies that took place at local intersections over the weekend.

At just after midnight on Friday, September 22, two individuals, one armed with a hand gun, pulled up next to another vehicle in the area of Nicolay Way at Barkley Avenue in Essex (21221). The pair held up the victim at gunpoint and stole his money. The suspects then fled the scene.



At 5:45 p.m. on Friday, two individuals pulled up next to another vehicle in the area of Kenwood Avenue at Fullerton Avenue in Overlea (21236). One of the suspects rolled down the window in their car, produced a long-barrel revolver, and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene.

Police have not released a description of the suspects at this time, nor have they indicated whether or not they believe the cases are connected.
