Shootings reported in Essex, Rosedale

Authorities were on the scene of two Saturday night shootings in Baltimore County.

At just before 8 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 block of Sugarwood Circle in Essex. Police located the shooting victims a short time later in the 900 block of Holgate Drive.



Police have identified the shooting victim as 21-year-old Quantez Corbin. He was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities believe the shooting was the result of an argument that took place earlier in the evening.

At about 8:45 p.m., police then responded to a second shooting in the area of St. Regis Road at Marquette Road in Rosedale.

There, police say two groups of people began shooting at one another near basketball courts in the area. One man was said to have been shot in the neck. Police believe the man was accidentally struck.
