Parkville 9/11 ‘Path of Honor’ marks 6th year

Path of Honor 2017An annual tradition lives on in Parkville.

For the past six years, volunteers have erected 2,977 flags along Putty Hill Avenue in honor of those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.



This year’s monument went up on Friday morning and is ready for Monday’s 16th anniversary of that fateful day.

The “Path” consists of 2,977 American flags, each representing a life lost on 9/11. It stretches over 0.875 miles from Harford Road to the Parkville Fire and Police stations.

The event is organized by The Hope and Peace Foundation.
