Woman shot during Nottingham home invasion

UPDATE; 8/27; 3:00pm – Police have now determined that this incident was not connected to a home invasion robbery – details here.

UPDATE; 8/24; 8:49pm – Authorities say the standoff has ended. No additional details have yet been released.

UPDATE; 8/24; 6:13pm – Police are now on the scene of a barricade situation in connection with this incident.



The Baltimore County Police Department says a barricade situation is unfolding at this hour on Insley Way.

Police say that female victim was shot while fighting off the suspects during a home invasion/robbery on Insley Way and that two suspects fled to the location of the current barricade.

At least 2 suspects are inside.  Avoid the area.

Police are on the scene of a Thursday afternoon shooting in Nottingham.

At about 3 p.m., authorities responded to a residence on Insley Way in the Dunfield community near Food Lion (21236).

At the scene, paramedics found that a female had been shot in the hand.

Baltimore Metro News reports that three black males were seen fleeing the scene.

Police have established a perimeter and are searching for the suspects.
