Crews will begin replacing more than a mile of old water line along Joppa Road, between Walther Boulevard and Belair Road, this month.

The $3 million project, which will ensure water quality and improve service, should be completed by the end of 2018.

During construction, the county’s contractor may occasionally interrupt water service in order to make emergency repairs.

When possible, residents will be given forty-eight hour notice.

Construction work may also impact traffic, as lanes may be temporarily diverted, but the road will not be closed.

Construction crews will be on site from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays.

Some additional work may be scheduled for weekends.
