Police investigating local robberies, burglaries

Police LightsPolice are investigating several local robberies and burglaries that have been reported so far this month.

Sometime between 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, and 6 a.m. on Monday, July 10, two people broke into Overlea Body and Fender, located in the 7000 block of Belair Road (21206), via a bay door window. The suspects stole six vehicles that were being serviced.



At 5:45 p.m. on Monday, July 10, two individuals walked up to another individual in the area of Driftwood Court and Hopkins Creek Lane in Essex (21221). The two men produced a handgun and stole the victim’s cell phone, cash, and the vehicle in which the victim was sitting.

Sometime between 6:30 a.m. on Monday, July 10, and 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, someone entered a home in the 9200 block of Oswald Way in Rosedale (21237) by prying open a window. Once inside, the suspect stole a game system and accessories.

Sometime between 5 p.m. on June 22 and 3:15 p.m. on July 12, an individual stole a lawn mower from the backyard storage area of a home located in the 700 block of Old Home Road (21206).

At about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, multiple people robbed a man in the 1100 block of Old Eastern Avenue in Essex (21221). The suspects stole a bag containing the victim’s cell phone and a personal identity item.
