Police investigate rash of local burglaries, attempted burglaries

burglaryPolice are investigating a rash of local burglaries and attempted burglaries that were reported over the past week.

Sometime between 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, and 7 a.m. on Friday, June 23, an individual pried open a storage room door at the El Rich Motel,  located in the 8200 block of Pulaski Highway in Rosedale (21237), and stole four televisions. The suspect then fled the scene.

At just after 5:30 a.m. on Friday, June 23, an individual broke into an apartment on Attenborough Drive in Rosedale (21237) via a side door and stole cash, a computer, and a television.

Sometime between 1 a.m. on Friday, June 23, and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, an individual or individuals broke into a residence on Beaver Court in Nottingham (21236).  The suspects ransacked the residence and stole various items before fleeing the scene.



Sometime between 11 p.m. on Friday, June 23, and 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, an individual entered a home in the 1000 block of Foxcroft Lane in Essex (21221) via the front window.  The suspects stole a DVD player, a game system, keys, a tablet, a TV, and a watch before fleeing the scene.

Sometime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, someone broke into a home on Willow Creek Court in Parkville (21234) via the front door and stole cash from the residence.

Sometime between 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, and 7 a.m. on Sunday, June 25, an individual removed the screen from the kitchen window to enter an apartment on Rosecrans Place in Nottingham (21236). Once inside, the suspect stole clothing and electronics before fleeing the scene.

At about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 25, someone broke the front glass window of the Big Lots store located in the 2500 block of Cleanleigh Drive in Parkville (21234). No entry was gained.

At about 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 25, an individual attempted to break into Island Spirit Liquors and the Goodwill store located in the 100 block of Carroll Island Road in Middle River (21220) by kicking in their front door glass. The suspect also threw the plants from Walmart into the street. The suspect was arrested.
