Authorities say a motorcycle operator was killed in a crash along Interstate 95 on Sunday morning.
At about 7:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, emergency personnel responded to an accident on the ramp from I-95 north to the Inner Loop of I-695 in Baltimore County.
Maryland State Police arrived on the scene and found paramedics placing the downed rider in the rear of an ambulance. Troopers also found a badly damaged motorcycle, a 2007 Honda Sport Bike resting in the roadway. The rider, later identified as Benjamin Lovell Brabham, 30, of Baltimore County, was taken to Bayview Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities say Brabham was traveling north on the I-95 ramp to the Inner Loop of I-695 when he lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected. Brabham hit the pavement and suffered blunt force trauma as a result. He had been wearing an approved DOT helmet at the time of the crash.
There were no witnesses to the collision, so at this point there has been no determination of cause other then failing to control vehicle.
Any possible witnesses are asked to contact the Maryland State Police – Golden Ring Barrack at 410-780-2700.
