Law Enforcement Torch Run to depart from Carney on Thursday

Special Olymics 2017 MDThe annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics will take place on Thursday, June 8 at 10:15 a.m. This marks 31 years of Baltimore County Police participation in the event.



BCoPD is dedicated to raising money for and awareness of the Maryland Special Olympics.

The Special Olympics torch will be carried by both officers and Special Olympics athletes.

More than 50 runners will line up for the three-mile run that starts at Harford Hills Elementary School and ends at the Public Safety Building in Towson. The runners and other participants will then enjoy a cookout.

Baltimore County Police have raised thousands of dollars over the years to support the Maryland Special Olympics.
