Police are investigating a fatal Wednesday evening motorcycle crash in Essex.
At just before 5:30 p.m. on April 12, paramedics responded to a crash at the intersection of South Taylor Avenue and Delaware Avenue.
Investigators have determined that a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Delaware Avenue when it struck the driver’s side of an SUV that was traveling southbound on South Taylor Avenue.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
The motorcycle driver has been identified as 52-year-old Franklin Sanders Jr., Essex. The driver of the Jeep Commander, 46-year-old Duane Hyer, of Essex, was taken to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time.
Baltimore County Police continue to investigate this fatal crash.
