A Tuesday afternoon crash has closed a portion of Belair Road in Baltimore County.

At about noon, the Maryland State Highway Administration said that Route 1 had been shut down.

The northbound side of Belair Road is closed at Rossville Boulevard while the southbound side is closed at Putty Hill Avenue.

There has been no word on any injuries.

Motorists should avoid the area.
