Councilman Marks: County budget includes funding to build PHHS turf field

PHHS Turf FieldCouncilman David Marks announced on Monday that the proposed Fiscal Year 2018 budget for Baltimore County will include funding to complete an artificial turf field at Perry Hall High School.

The county contribution matches a state bond bill that will provide $150,000, as well as over $90,000 raised by the Perry Hall community, including three recreation councils and the Perry Hall High School Athletic Booster Club.

The turf field is estimated to cost $800,000.

“Last fall, I joined parents at Perry Hall High School in kicking off the fundraising drive for a new Perry Hall High School artificial turf field. I am excited to announce that the new county budget will include funding to complete this project,” Councilman Marks said.

“Many thanks to our state legislators for providing a match, and the parents who worked with our office since last fall.”
