Monday, March 27, was a very lucky night for someone.  The Maryland Lottery is looking for the winner of $1,000 a week for life in Cash4Life and a $50,000 top-prize winner in Bonus Match 5.

Royal Farms #70 at 500 Joppa Farm Road in Joppa sold the lucky Cash4Life ticket, while Wawa #561 located at 2740 North Salisbury Blvd. in Salisbury sold the top-prize Bonus Match 5 ticket.

The winning numbers for Cash4Life were 32, 42, 58, 59 and 60; the Cash Ball was 4. The five winning numbers for Bonus Match 5 were 8, 22, 28, 29 and 33; the Bonus Ball number was 3.

Lottery officials recommend players sign the backs of their winning tickets and keep them safe until they can claim their prizes. They have 182 days to do so in person at Lottery headquarters located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.

This is the first second-tier Cash4Life winner in Maryland since the game started in January 2016. The March 27 drawing also saw a second player in New York win the second-tier prize. A Frederick woman became the first Marylander to win the game’s top prize of $1,000 a day for life in May 2016.

Nine states participate in the $2 game: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Tennessee. Since the game began in June 2014, Cash4Life has had 19 top-prize winners and 37 second-tier winners.

Top-prize Cash4Life winners receive $1,000 a day for life paid in annual installments of $365,000, or may choose a one-time cash payment of $7 million (before taxes). The second-tier prize is $1,000 a week for life, paid in annual installments of $52,000, or winners may opt for a one-time payment of $1 million (before taxes). Six other prize levels range from $2 to $2,500. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.

Bonus Match 5 drawings are held nightly, with a top prize of $50,000 for matching the five winning numbers.

The retailers are winners as well. For selling the second-tier-winning Cash4Life ticket, the Royal Farms in Joppa will receive a $2,500 bonus from the Lottery. The Wawa in Salisbury will receive a $500 bonus for selling the top-prize-winning Bonus Match 5 ticket.
