Crews are on the scene of a 2-alarm fire in Essex on Wednesday night. 

At about 8:15 p.m., firefighters responded to the 300 block of Savannah Road for a report of a fire.

At the scene, responders found a detached garage fully engulfed in flames with heavy smoke showing. 

A second alarm has been sounded. 

There has been no word on any injuries. 

Motorists should avoid the area.
