Police are warning residents of several recent auto thefts in the Parkville area, according to Baltimore County Councilman David Marks.
Thieves are reportedly stealing vehicles and items from vehicles in and around the E. Joppa Road area.
Councilman Marks posted the following to Facebook on Thursday:
From the Parkville Precinct –
Between 1/31 and 2/15, we had several reported incidents of auto thefts and thefts from auto in and around the Cromwood Community. Streets included Dunwoody, Satyr Hill, Skywood, Littlewood, Haverhill and E. Joppa Rd. Four vehicles had items stolen from them. All 4 vehicles were parked in a driveway and left unlocked. Three vehicles were stolen. One was left running and unlocked, one was stolen after finding a spare key in another vehicle, and the last was stolen after the garage door was left open, interior door unlocked and the key removed from the home (reported as a 1st Degree Burglary).
Again, lock your vehicles, do not leave any valuable property in your vehicles, do not leave spare keys in your vehicles and lock your homes.
If anyone has any questions, please call me.
