Police are investigating after two Essex businesses were robbed and burglarized over the weekend.
Sometime between 2 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on January 20, someone threw a rock through the front door glass at Essex Pawn, located in the 100 block of Eastern Boulevard 21221. Once inside, the suspect stole a game system and other miscellaneous items, then fled the scene.
At just after 2 p.m. on January 22, a man entered the Royal Farms store located in the 600 block of Mace Avenue, 21221. The suspect walked behind the counter and filled a bag with cigarettes and money, then fled the scene in a vehicle.
No one was injured in either incident.
