Parkville man arrested in connection with 2015 arson

Parkville man arsonA Parkville man was arrested on Wednesday morning and charged with first-degree arson in connection with the intentional burning of a home in the Middle River area a year ago.

Joseph Alphonzo Heinze II, 33, of Parkville, has been charged with first-degree arson and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.



On December 22, 2015, Baltimore County Fire and Police personnel responded to a home in the 3900 block of Cutty Sark Road, 21220, for a fire. First responders found the first floor of the home on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire, and there were no reports of injuries.

The homeowner, Heinze, told investigators that he had left the home and when he returned it was on fire.

An investigation by BCoPD Arson detectives led to identification of Heinze as the person responsible for the fire. An arrest warrant was obtained for Heinze on December 6th.

Detectives learned that Heinze is a Baltimore City EMT.
