Councilman Marks names Chris Montcalmo a Fifth District ‘Citizen of the Year’

Chris Montcalmo Citizen of the YearBaltimore County Councilman David Marks on Thursday recognized Chris Montcalmo, a Carney resident, as a Fifth District “Citizen of the Year.”

Montcalmo, a mortgage consultant with HomeSale Mortgage, photographer, and local musician, has been a longtime community leader, serving as President of the Parkville Carney Business Association and as a community board member for the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company.  Montcalmo has also served as past president of the Perry Hall White Marsh Business Association. He also directs Reign Down, the contemporary music group at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Carney, and is the CEO at NottinghamMD.com.



The WMVFC is currently in the midst of a major fundraising initiative in order to build a new station along Route 7 to replace its outdated facility on Ebenezer Road.  A groundbreaking ceremony was held last month.  To donate to WMVFC, please click here.

“Chris Montcalmo has been a terrific leader in northeastern Baltimore County, and it is a pleasure to recognize him for his contributions to the community,” Councilman Marks commented.

The Fifth District Citizen of the Year program was started in 2011 to recognize outstanding community volunteers.
