Motorists heading north on Interstate 95 on Thursday afternoon should expect delays.
The Maryland Transportation Authority advises that northbound I-95 is currently shut down at MD-22 (exit 85) in Aberdeen due to a tractor trailer fire.
All lanes are currently blocked and heavy backups are present.
Motorists should consider using Route 7, US 40 or US 1 as alternate routes.
There is no word on when the highway will be reopened.
