Police investigating shooting in northern Dundalk

A homeowner was shot multiple times in the upper body after investigating a knock at his back door Monday evening.

Police responded to the 7900 block of Eastdale Road in Dundalk at approximately 8:20 p.m. after receiving a call for a shooting. The victim, a 35-year-old man, told police that he was shot by an unknown assailant after hearing a knock at his back door and seeing an unknown subject outside the door.



The suspect fled the scene and remains outstanding at this time.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

Baltimore County Violent Crimes Unit continues to investigate this crime.

The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place along the northern edge of Dundalk on Monday night.

At about 8:30 p.m., police responded to the 7900 block of Eastdale Road for a report of shots fired.

At the scene, officers found that someone had been shot and that the suspect had fled the scene.

Police say the victim was shot multiple times in the upper body, but is expected to survive.

A search for the suspect is currently ongoing at this hour.
