Crime blotter: police investigate carjacking, assault, several robberies & burglaries

Police LightsIt’s been a busy week for the Baltimore County Police Department.  Detectives are currently investigating several crimes that were reported to the Parkville and White Marsh precincts over the past week.

White Marsh Precinct:

July 21: Robbery, 1700 block of Chesaco Avenue 21237

At 5:40 a.m., the victim was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects implied a gun, robbed the victim of his wallet and they then fled the scene.

July 22: Carjacking, 8600 block of Pulaski Highway 21237

At 9:40 a.m., the victim and the suspect engaged in a verbal argument. The argument escalated and the suspect pushed the victim out of the victim’s vehicle and drove off with the victim’s belongings. The suspect did not have permission to take the vehicle.

July 22 to 23: First Degree Burglary, 4500 block of Raspe Avenue 21206

Sometime between 2 p.m. and 6:54 p.m., a suspect or suspects used force to open the door to gain entry into the victim’s residence. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole electronic equipment and jewelry.

July 23: Robbery, 8600 block of Philadelphia Road 21237

Around 10:50 a.m., a suspect approached the counter at the Giant store, placed a shopping bag on the counter and demanded money, while implying he had a gun. The victim complied. The suspect was later found and arrested.

July 25: Robbery, 7900 block of Pulaski Highway 21237



At 4:50 a.m., two suspects forced their way into a hotel room and robbed two victims at gunpoint. The suspects demanded money, drugs, and cell phones. The suspects then fled in a vehicle.

July 26: Robbery, 8400 block of Philadelphia Road 21237

At 9:05 p.m., three suspects entered the Family Dollar store, robbed the cashier at gunpoint and snatched a customer’s purse. The suspects then fled.

Parkville Precinct:

July 21: First Degree Burglary, 1800 block of Dunwoody Road 21234

Sometime between 6 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., a suspect or suspects gained entry through an unlocked window. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole cash and electronic equipment.

July 21: First Degree Burglary, 2900 block of Willoughby Road 21234

At 8:20 a.m., the suspect entered the home through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspect removed cash. When the suspect was approached by one of the residents, he pushed her and then fled.

July 24: First Degree Assault, unit block of Melken Court 21236

At 11:05 p.m., the victim was assaulted by two suspects. The suspects fled the area in a vehicle.

July 25: Robbery, 8900 block of Emla Avenue 21234

At 12:40 a.m., two suspects approached the victim with a knife and stole prescription medication, money and a gold necklace. The suspects left the location on bicycles.

July 25: First Degree Assault, 9200 block of Harford Road 21234

At 2:17 p.m., the victim pulled into the Shell gas station after being rear-ended by the suspect. The suspect exited his vehicle, began cursing and assaulted the victim. The suspect threatened to stab the victim and the victim then struck the suspect. The suspect retrieved a wrench and struck the victim. The suspect was arrested.
