Man injured after jumping off White Marsh crane

AmbulanceAn Oregon man is recovering in the hospital after he jumped off of a crane in White Marsh on Monday night.

At just after 8 p.m. on Monday, Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to a construction site in the 8200 block of Town Center Drive, 21236, for a report of an injured person.

It seems a man who worked for the construction company had jumped from a 160-foot crane. When he jumped, the parachute he was wearing did not fully deploy. The man landed on a steel box and was injured.

Officers found that there were two GoPro cameras attached to the man’s helmet.

The man, David Matthew Mazik, 33, of King City, Oregon, was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
