An iconic landmark will be officially reopened later this month.

The dedication and reopening of the restored Jericho Road Covered Bridge will be held on Monday, April 25 at 11 a.m.

Last year, a nearly $2 million project restored the 150-year-old bridge, which carries a single lane of traffic along Jerusalem Road in Kingsville.

The structure is one of just six covered bridges in the state of Maryland.

The Jericho Road Covered Bridge was constructed in 1865 across the Little Gunpowder Falls. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Harford County Executive Barry Glassman, Baltimore County Councilman David Marks and Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz will attend the ceremony.
