Police seek public’s help in finding Dundalk hit-and-run vehicle

The Baltimore County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a red Mercedes Benz with “War of 1812” license plates that struck a young teenager in Dundalk‬ on Thursday and left the scene.



Police say a 13-year-old girl was crossing Holabird Avenue near Searles Road when she was struck by a red Mercedes. The car fled the area even though several witnesses tried to prevent the driver from leaving the scene. Witnesses said the car had Maryland “War of 1812” license plates. The driver was described as a white male. There was a front seat passenger in the car, described as a white female.

The child was taken to Johns Hopkins Children Center for treatment. The girl is in stable condition and is expected to survive her injuries.

The Mercedes should have damage to the front hood of the car. The vehicle was last seen in the area of Lynch Road and Shore Road. If anyone has any information concerning this incident, please call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020.
