The community has spoken and the county has listened.
For many months, accidents have been piling up at a busy White Marsh intersection.
On Thursday, the White Marsh-Cowentom Community Association revealed that a traffic light would be installed at the intersection of Philadelphia Road and New Forge Road.
Donald Distance from the Maryland State Highway Administration was quoted as saying:
“After recently installing blinking lights, we received several complaints about an increase in accidents at this location. As a result, a new signal study was conducted…and signalization is now warranted for this location.”
The new traffic light is set to be completed by the end of summer 2016.
