A truck fire has shut down a portion of Route 40 near Joppa Farm Road in Joppa, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.
The fire broke out around 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Eastbound Route 40 has been reopened to traffic, but westbound Route 40 remains shut down at this hour.
